Live Sound Hire provides sound services for Main Stage at outdoor festival
Ambient Picnic Main Stage Euphonics / Ambient Picnic Festival : 7th and 8th July 2007,Hook Road Arena, Epsom, Surrey.
The expected turnout was around 2,000 people, for which we specified four EM Acoustics 'Quake' Subwoofers powered by a single Powersoft K-10 amplifier, and four Meyer Sound CQ-1 Full Range enclosures. Loudspeaker management was provided by a single XTA DP224 processor.
Monitor-wise, four Martin Audio LE-400 wedges and a beyma-loaded 2x15"+2" Drum Fill cabinet powered by Camco Vortex 6 amplifiers were used. Monitors were mixed on a Soundcraft LX7 24 channel console with BSS FDS960 EQ units.
A Crest X-VCA 32:8:3 was specifically chosen for its' wide range of features including eight groups (with compression/gating on each), eight VCAs and useful control of aux routing. This allowed us to effortlessly handle the 30+ bands which were appearing over the weekend. Outboard processing consisted of two XTA SiDD dynamics processors, three DBX 266XL compressor/gates, three Yamaha REV500 reverb processors and a Digitech Studio Vocalist processor. FOH EQ unit was an XTA GQ-600.
All mics were shure Beta series apart from AKG overhead/cymbal mics. All DIs were either BSS or EMO.
