Live Sound Hire provides sound upgrade for Drum & Bass night, Liquid & Envy, Swindon

When Profound Sounds creators Mark Keeping and Chris Dunn needed a mind-blowing sound system for their opening night at Liquid in Swindon, they turned to Live Sound Hire to provide it. We designed them a system that would supply earth-shaking sub bass using EM Acoustics Quake subs, powerful kick with EM Acoustics EMS-215 and crystal clear mid highs with Meyer Sound MSL-4 cabinets. Four EM Acoustics M-12 passive wedge monitors provided a perfect monitoring system for the MCs, whilst EMS-122 cabinets ensured that the DJs could hear their mixes perfectly. We supplied two CDJ-2000 CD decks, a DJM-800 mixer and Technics 1210 turntables.

System processing and amplification was provided by a single XTA DP448 processor, with Powersoft K-10 amplifiers powering the Quakes and EMS-215s, and FFA-6004 quad channel amps running the M-12s in stereo pairs and DJ monitors in stereo.

We were inundated with compliments about the system from the crowd, organisers, DJs and MCs.
